HOW 3PL PRICING WORKS
Receiving and Inbound Fees
Priced per pallet, carton, or hour depending on how your freight arrives. Covers unloading, inspection, scanning into Synapse, and putaway. Container devanning is priced separately.
Storage Fees
Charged per pallet position per month, or by cubic foot for bin locations. Cost depends on how much inventory you hold and how fast it turns.
Pick and Pack Fees
Charged per order with additional per-item fees for multi-line orders. Covers picking, packing to your spec, labeling, and carrier handoff. Custom packaging or special instructions may carry an additional handling fee.
Outbound Shipping
Carrier charges passed through at our negotiated UPS, FedEx, and USPS rates. Standard ground from Jersey City reaches NJ, NY, and CT next day and the full East Coast within two days.
Value-Added Services
Kitting, FBA prep, co-packing, relabeling, QC inspections, and palletizing are priced per unit or per project and quoted separately during onboarding.
What Affects Your Quote
The main factors that affect your 3PL pricing are order volume, SKU count, average order size, inbound frequency, storage footprint, and whether you need EDI compliance for retail distribution. High-volume clients with predictable, fast-turning inventory generally get better effective rates across all fee categories. Brands with complex operations – multiple retail EDI connections, kitting requirements, bonded storage – have more moving parts that need to be scoped individually.

Frequently Asked Questions
How much does 3PL fulfillment cost?
3PL fulfillment cost depends on four main categories: receiving fees when inventory arrives, monthly storage per pallet or cubic foot, pick and pack fees per order, and outbound carrier charges. For most ecommerce brands shipping 200 to 2,000 orders per month, total 3PL costs typically run between $4 and $12 per order shipped, depending on order size, carrier service level, and storage footprint.
Retail distribution and EDI compliance add separate costs based on volume and retailer requirements. The best way to get an accurate number is to fill out our quote form with your actual volume and SKU profile.
Is there a minimum volume requirement?
No minimum order volume. We work with brands shipping 50 orders a month and importers moving multiple containers per week. Pricing scales with your volume, so smaller operations pay for what they use without being locked into capacity commitments.
What does 3PL warehouse cost include?
A typical 3PL warehouse cost includes inbound receiving, storage per pallet or cubic foot, pick and pack per order, and outbound shipping at negotiated carrier rates. Value-added services like kitting, FBA prep, relabeling, and quality control inspections are priced separately. EDI setup for retail distribution is included for standard retailer transaction sets in most client agreements.
How long does it take to get a quote?
Most clients receive a custom quote within one business day of submitting the form. If your operation has complex EDI or VAS requirements we may follow up with a few questions before finalizing numbers. From our Jersey City facility we serve brands across New Jersey, New York, and the full Northeast.
