Retail Fulfillment Services and Retail Logistics in New Jersey
Phoenix Warehouse is a New Jersey retail fulfillment company serving Walmart, Target, Costco, TJ Maxx, and Amazon suppliers from Jersey City — one mile from Port Newark.
What Is Retail Fulfillment?
Retail fulfillment is the process of receiving, storing, picking, packing, and shipping products to retail store locations or retail distribution centers on behalf of a brand, importer, or wholesale supplier. A retail fulfillment company handles the logistics between a supplier’s inventory and the retailer’s shelves, managing compliance requirements, delivery windows, and retailer-specific labeling standards.
For suppliers to major chains like Walmart, Target, Costco, and Amazon, retail fulfillment also includes EDI compliance: transmitting advance ship notices (ASNs), purchase order acknowledgments, and invoices in the exact format each retailer requires. Chargebacks for non-compliant shipments can represent 1-3% of invoice value, making accurate retail fulfillment operations a direct cost control measure.
Phoenix Warehouse provides retail fulfillment services from Jersey City, New Jersey, serving the entire New York metro area and Northeast distribution corridor.

Phoenix Warehouse has provided retail fulfillment services and retail logistics in New Jersey since 1997. We work with importers, wholesalers, and brand owners supplying Walmart, Target, Costco, TJ Maxx, HomeGoods, Marshalls, Amazon, Home Depot, and Lowe’s across the U.S. and New York metro area.
Our retail fulfillment warehouse at 201 Port Jersey Blvd, Jersey City sits one mile from Port Newark-Elizabeth Marine Terminal. A second location at 108 Industrial Drive provides additional retail distribution fulfillment capacity. Both operate as CBP Bonded Warehouse facilities.
Stock Replenishment & Order Consolidation
We monitor your inventory levels across all SKUs and trigger replenishment automatically based on thresholds you set. Our retail store fulfillment team consolidates orders from multiple factory shipments into single retail purchase orders before outbound delivery, reducing freight costs and keeping your shelves stocked without manual intervention.
Dynamic Inventory Management
Our warehouse management system gives you real-time inventory visibility by SKU, lot, and storage location. Set reorder thresholds, run aging reports, and track inbound and outbound shipments from a single online portal, no calls to the warehouse required. Supports EDI connections to major retailers and API integration for Shopify and WooCommerce.
Direct-to-Store Delivery Services
Our retail distribution fulfillment team delivers directly to store locations across New York, New Jersey, Connecticut, and Pennsylvania. Each shipment is routed to the retailer’s receiving window and includes proof of delivery. Same-day delivery to NYC metro stores and next-day delivery across the Northeast are standard from our Jersey City facility.

Retail Fulfillment and Logistics FAQ
Which retail chains or platforms are you already integrated with?
Phoenix Warehouse is EDI-integrated with Walmart, Target, Costco, TJ Maxx, HomeGoods, Marshalls, Amazon FBA and FBM, Home Depot, and Lowe’s. We cover ASN transmission, GS1-128 carton labeling, purchase order acknowledgments, and routing guide compliance for each retailer. We also support API connections for Shopify and WooCommerce stores feeding into retail distribution. If your retail partner is not on this list, we can review their vendor compliance guide and set up the integration before your first shipment.
Do you provide retail fulfillment services for Amazon and Walmart?
Yes. For Amazon, we handle FBA prep including FNSKU labeling, poly bagging, bubble wrapping, and carton marking to current Amazon requirements, as well as FBM fulfillment for sellers who prefer merchant-fulfilled shipping. For Walmart.com and Target.com, we manage pick, pack, and ship per each marketplace’s routing standards. For brick-and-mortar stores at all three chains, we handle store-ready pallet and carton preparation, ASN filing, and delivery to distribution centers or directly to store locations.
Can your New Jersey warehouse serve as a retail distribution fulfillment hub?
Yes. Both locations, 201 Port Jersey Blvd in Jersey City and 108 Industrial Drive, operate as regional retail distribution hubs. We receive bulk inbound shipments, break them down by store or region, build store-ready pallets or floor-ready cartons, and deliver on a scheduled basis. For retail chains with 10 to 200-plus store locations across New York, New Jersey, Connecticut, and Pennsylvania, a single hub at our Jersey City facility covers the entire Northeast corridor with same-day and next-day delivery capability.
What does your New Store Opening Support include?
New store opening support covers the full pre-open sequence. We receive all merchandise, verify quantities against the purchase order, and stage product by category or department as specified. We build store-ready displays or floor-ready cartons, apply retailer-specific labeling, and schedule delivery to arrive within the store’s receiving window.
We coordinate directly with the store’s receiving team so nothing arrives before the space is ready. We have supported openings for national and regional chains across the New York metro area and can work to compressed timelines when opening dates shift.
What is the minimum volume for your retail fulfillment services?
There is no fixed minimum. We work with importers and brand owners shipping one to two containers per month as well as clients moving 50-plus containers regularly. Phoenix Warehouse is a better fit for businesses with consistent, ongoing retail distribution volume rather than one-time shipments.
If you are not sure whether your current volume justifies a 3PL relationship, a short consultation is the best starting point. We can review your actual freight and storage patterns and give you a straight answer.
How fast is the stock replenishment process?
Replenishment orders received before noon are processed and ready for outbound the same business day. Orders received after noon ship the next business day. For clients on automatic replenishment, orders are generated when stock drops below a threshold you set, with no manual step required. For store locations in New York and New Jersey, same-day or next-day delivery is standard from our Jersey City facility. Delivery timelines to CT and PA are typically one to two business days.
What reporting comes with your retail fulfillment warehouse services?
Clients access our WMS portal online with real-time inventory visibility by SKU, lot number, and storage location. Standard reports include inventory on hand, inbound receipt history, outbound shipment history, and inventory aging by SKU. For retail clients, we add retailer-specific reporting: store-level delivery confirmation, compliance documentation by purchase order, and timestamped records for chargeback dispute support. Custom report formats are available. You do not need to call the warehouse to check inventory status.
Can fulfillment and delivery processes be customized to fit my brand?
Yes. We support branded carton inserts, custom packaging formats, specific labeling layouts, and delivery documentation carrying your branding. For direct-to-store delivery, shipments go out with your branded packing slips and delivery confirmations. For retail distribution, we follow each retailer’s vendor compliance requirements while keeping your brand presentation consistent where the retailer allows it. We also accommodate product-specific handling instructions for fragile items, high-value merchandise, or goods requiring special staging.
What guarantees do you provide for on-time store deliveries?
We track on-time delivery performance for every retail client and provide monthly delivery accuracy reports. For retailer-mandated delivery windows, we build the routing schedule around those windows and flag any risk before the truck leaves the dock. When a delivery misses a window due to a factor within our control, we reroute and redeliver at no additional charge. We communicate proactively when weather events, road closures, or receiving dock delays create a risk, so you can notify the retailer before a chargeback is triggered rather than after.
Who is responsible in case of delivery errors or returns?
Phoenix Warehouse takes responsibility for errors that originate at our facility: wrong items shipped, incorrect quantities, labeling errors, or product that left the dock in damaged condition. Every outbound shipment is documented with photos and weight confirmation, so discrepancies can be traced to their source. For returns, we receive, inspect, and sort all returned merchandise.
Product that is undamaged and in original packaging is returned to sellable inventory. Damaged or unsellable product is documented and handled per your instructions. For chargeback disputes involving our documentation, we provide the relevant records to support your claim.
